Inspired by her mother’s time-tested remedies, Lia discovered a gift for crafting innovative skincare products for children and adults using pure, natural ingredients. Nante Yie, was born during the global pandemic when many artisan soap crafters in Ghana struggled. With centuries of traditional knowledge at risk, Lia partnered with artisans to breathe new life into this rich heritage. This blossomed into Nante Yie, which means “walk well” in Twi. The brand bridges Lia’s life and community in Ghana — her birth place — with her life in North America. As a grandmother and Chief in her Ghanaian community she is passionate about ensuring every product reflects Nante Yie’s commitment to well being, quality, and sustainability. Each eco-bar is a testament to the devotion and resilience of Nante Yie’s crafters.

As a master artisan, Gabriel expertly blends time-honoured herbs and other natural ingredients to create luxurious soaps that not only enhance skin's beauty but also address various skin conditions. Georgina is an award-winning soap maker and chemist whose expertise elevates Nante Yie’s unwavering commitment to quality and earth friendly skin care. In partnership with Gabriel and Lia, she merges her scientific knowledge with their profound experience in community development and natural skincare, creating a synergy that transcends traditional crafting. Together with local artisans, Georgina and the team craft products that not only meet the highest standards of efficacy but also prioritize ethical sourcing and the preservation of centuries-old artisanal knowledge.

The material used to create every Ntoma bag has a pattern which has a meaning or tells a story. Each bag is handmade in Ghana using authentic Ankara cloth sourced directly from Ghana’s lively fabric markets. Agie, our head seamstress ensures each of our pure cotton Ntoma bags is meticulously hand-cut and crafted. She masterfully blends traditional techniques with modern aesthetics to show case the craftsmanship of our sewers. Agie, like everyone in our community shines with kindness and her own matchless individuality.

Dr. Alex is an established and highly skilled surgeon based in Paris France who plays a vital role in our team by reviewing our content. With over 30 years of experience in health consultation, surgery and surgical alternatives, and a specialization in female sexual health, infertility and cancers, Dr Alex has earned accolades for his high quality, compassionate patient centred care. He an advocate for holistic healthcare, including blending modern medicine with natural, preventative options.
